It really is a challenge to do outfit posts at this time of year, it’s a blogger cliche but it’s so true! Natural light makes life so much easier. It’s even more challenging when you run out of batteries for your external flash which is usually the life saver in this situation. Anyway, time for a new outfit post shot by Miz in the hallways of our block of flats, turned out pretty nice.
So, I’ve been trying to wear more dresses lately in a bid to feel more feminine, plus when you’ve put on weight it feels so much easier to throw on a loose fitting dress than to squeeze that newly acquired bulge into crunchy, not stretchy enough jeans.
This dress from Yumi, is part of the wonderful selection of dresses from House of Fraser and it’s just the perfect shape. It’s a loose fitting a line skirt with an optional belt and 3 quarter length sleeves. I’ve rolled up the sleeves as the length is a bit odd on my, but they have a lovely cuffed detail if you do want them on show.
There’s skinny belt loops on the waist and a white belt which really looks smart and helps define the waist. This comes off too so if you prefer a more relaxed look take it off. I LOVE, love LOVE the collar on this, true Wednesday Adams style. The print is a tiny bird on a brand all over print which I adore too. My new fox satchel is from George at Asda and will make another appearance soon
My acrylic lolly pop necklace is a Tatty Devine sample sale pick up which doesn’t get nearly enough love. My make up features OCC Matte Lip Tar in Black Dahlia, cheeks and eyes using Sugarpill’s Edward Scissorhans palette which I’ll be reviewing separately soon. Love this outfit, feels very smart and something I’d 100% wear for a meeting or day out in London. Bowler hat is from eBay, I think it cost me under a fiver! New outfit posts coming soon!
