So I previously reviewed the SheaMoisture Shampoo and Conditioner from their SuperFruit collection and since discovering the brand it’s been the only range me and Miz have been using, really have a lot of love for this brand. For the last month or so we’ve been trying their Raw Shea shampoo and conditioner too.
As with the SuperFruit collection (and most of their other lines too) this duo is colour safe due to it being sulphate free which is awesome, I always prefer to use sulphate free for my hair and it stops hair feeling dry and prolongs colour. This particular Raw Shea collection is recommended for dry, damaged hair to strengthen and help growth.
Due to the sulphate free nature of it you will find that the shampoo does not lather the same as a conventional sulphate based shampoo, it’s more a gentle smooth lather rather than tons of bubbles and if you’re not used to this you may want to spend a little extra time massaging in to your scalp to get the full benefit, or do two rounds of shampoo. Personally, I’m used to them so it’s not a massive bother, just pay particular attention to your roots when applying. As with the whole collection there are no artificial colours or fragrances, so this one has a gentle herbal/floral scent coming from it’s blend of coconut oil, honeysuckle tramadult.com avocado oil, it’s lovely.
The conditioner is a very thick, rich cream, as with all of the products it’s a Shea Butter base and this particular one is enriched with Argan Oil, Vitamin E and B5, Coconut Oil and Avocado Oil. If your hair is normal you really don’t need very much of this and I’d recommend you focus on the ends only as it can easily get too heavy. However, if your hair is curly, dry or damaged a little extra will work wonders and quickly help restore hair to a more lively texture and look.
My hair is relatively normal, a little dry and damaged from dying but nothing major so for my hair type I prefer the SuperFruit Complex collection as it’s lighter, for anyone with drier or damaged hair this one would be more suited. If you’ve messed your hair up with too much bleach, you MUST try this I think it would work wonders. SheaMoisture has something for all hair types across four different collections, but I really think it’s a must try for curly hair, dry or over processed hair. As a bonus it’s free from every nasty you can think of, uses organic ingredients and it cruelty free!
It’s available at Boots from £10.99 and is currently on 3 for 2. I’m completely converted, it’s one of the best hair care ranges I’ve ever tried!
