Baccurelli felt like an especially lovely next brand to feature after I got in touch with them to see if they wanted to get involved, as they mentioned a mutual love for yesterday’s team, Sugar & Vice who helped Baccurelli figure out setting up their biz. Today’s #IndieLove team is made up of graphic designer Meli and her husband, Hugo and they are based in sunny L.A. I stumbled upon them via Instagram not that long ago and instantly fell in love with their geeky, 60s vibe designs, particularly Meli’s sweet doll designs.
Read to the end for a little promo very kindly from these guys…
Baccurelli sell mainly acrylic jewellery but also t-shirts and art, the main line is made up of these adorable doll faces of iconic women from history and popular culture. There’s also a kick ass collection of loud, kitsch bold pieces that are just SO fun. If you like your jewellery limited edition and are able to drop a little dinero quickly you’ll want to keep an eye on their Instagram for some incredible mini collections, here’s too I’m gutted I missed out on.
I LOVE Batman, so these villainous ladies are so up my street, also they came out on my birthday!
For some childhood nostalgia, these Labyrinth creations are truly beautiful, if you check out the Sarah brooch on the Instagram page, you’ll see her dress is made out of sparkly acrylic.
Although Baccurelli comes out a little more expensive than some other acrylic jewellery creators on some of the larger pieces, you can see that you can paying for Meli’s 20 years of design experience and being given the opportunity to purchase limited edition, handcraft pieces of art with the added functionality of being jewellery.
